Overview

Green living encompasses many diverse concepts, ideas and even beliefs. Some think it should mean reducing excessive consumerism and overindulgence, while others believe it’s better achieved through dense and/or compact housing. If that’s the case, what happens to the American Dream?

We believe luxury living and green living are not mutually exclusive. In many ways, larger homes have more of a responsibility to reduce their excesses. With larger budgets, they should include allowances for greater choices in quality materials, better construction methods and higher energy-efficiency standards.

Green also means not wasting money on inefficient systems, creating healthy, comfortable living environments, and embracing new technologies and products that make life easier and better. Positive, creative thinking is its essence.

KCH&G’s Boulevard of Dreams Green Living Show Home expresses our version of green living. Not everyone may agree with everything we do, but we can still be wise and efficient with our global resources without reducing our standard of living. We can live smarter.
