Meet the Developer
Joe Carter is a partner in A HOMErun LLC, responsible for handling various business-related ventures for the company. Joe is a 16-year major league baseball veteran, most famous for hitting a walk-off home run to win the 1993 World Series with the Toronto Blue Jays. He first reached the major leagues with the Chicago Cubs in 1983 and subsequently played for the Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres, Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco Giants before retiring. In addition to winning two World Series during his career, he was named a five-time All-Star and a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner.
Joe went on to serve as an announcer for the Toronto Blue Jays on CTV Sportsnet from 1999-2000 and then joined the Chicago Cubs broadcasting team as a color commentator alongside play-by-play announcer Chip Carey for two seasons. He has been inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, Missouri Valley Hall of Fame and the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame.
Joe has been blessed throughout his life and works to pass those blessings on. He has and continues to do charitable work for The Ronald McDonald Foundation and is the founder of the Jumpin’ with Joe Foundation Inc., a nonprofit entity dedicated to promoting strong character, academic potential and sportsmanship to economically disadvantaged youth in urban communities across the country.
